Secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and
marks, packaging, storage, transport, quality certificate and purchase order
(or contract) of secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots.
This Standard is applicable to secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots that take
lead-containing waste as raw material and are through smelting processing
production, mainly used for storage batteries, alloys and chemical industry
and other fields.

3 Requirements
3.1 Product classification
The chemical composition of secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots is divided
into 7 designations. ZSPb99.994, ZSPb99.992, ZSPbSb1, ZSPbSb2,
ZSPbCa, ZSPbSn1, ZSPbSn2.
3.2 Chemical composition
3.2.1 The chemical composition of secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots
shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
3.2.2 When the purchaser has special requirements for alloying elements
5 Inspection rules
5.1 Inspection and acceptance
5.1.1 The secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots shall be inspected by
supplier’s technical supervision department so as to ensure that the product
quality complies with the provisions of this Standard or purchase order (or
contract) and fill in the quality certificate.
5.1.2 The purchaser shall inspect the product received according to the
provisions of this Standard. If the inspection results fail to comply with the
provisions of this Standard or purchase order (or contract), the purchaser
shall put forward to the supplier within 15 days after the product is received. It
shall be solved by the supplier and the purchaser via negotiation. If arbitration
is required, the sampling for arbitration shall be carried out by the supplier
and the purchaser.
5.2 Batching
5.2.1 The secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots shall be submitted in
batches for inspection. Each batch shall consist of the products of same smelt
number. The batch shall not exceed 120 t.
5.2.2 According to purchaser’s needs, allowing a number of batches of the
same designation to form an inspection batch. The batch size shall be carried
out according to purchaser’s requirements.
5.3 Inspection items
Each batch of secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots shall be subjected to the
inspections of chemical composition and surface quality.
5.4 Arbitration sampling and sample preparation
5.4.1 Arbitration sample quantity. extract 2% of secondarily lead and lead
alloy ingots at random as sample ingot. The total number of sample ingot
shall be multiple of 6 for easy grouping. When there is less than 6 after
grouping, it shall make up from the secondarily lead and lead alloy ingots but
it must not discard.
5.4.2 Arbitration sampling method. make each 6 extracted sample ingots as
a group. Take a sample by drilling or sawing. During drilling or sawing, it must
not use any lubricant. Its speed must not oxidize the sample. Sampling shall
remove the skin. The drilling, sawing depth must not be less than 2/3 of ingot
thickness. Details are as follows.
