Hot-rolled Steel H Piles
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the order content, classification and designation system,
dimensions, shapes, weights and tolerances, technical requirements, test methods,
inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of hot-rolled steel H piles.
This Standard applies to hot-rolled steel H piles (hereinafter referred to as “steel H
piles”).

5.3 Weights and Tolerances
5.3.1 Steel H piles shall be delivered according to their theoretical weight (the
theoretical weight is calculated according to the density 7.85 g/cm3). It can also be
indicated in a contract agreed upon by the seller and the buyer that steel H piles can
also be delivered according to the actual weight.
5.3.2 The tolerances of the delivery weight of steel H piles shall meet the
specifications of GB/T 11263. The tolerance is calculated as the difference between
the actual weight and the theoretical weight divided by the theoretical weight,
expressed as a percentage.
5.4 Example of marking
The marking of the specifications of steel H piles. expressed as HP and height H value
× width B value × web thickness t1 value × flange thickness t2.
6 Technical Requirements
6.1 Designation and chemical composition
6.1.1 The designation and chemical composition (smelting analysis) of steel H piles
shall meet the specifications of Table 3; and the carbon equivalent shall meet the
products. if there is still one unqualified in the re-inspection results, then the batch of
products is unqualified.

Hot-rolled Steel H Piles
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the order content, classification and designation system,
dimensions, shapes, weights and tolerances, technical requirements, test methods,
inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of hot-rolled steel H piles.
This Standard applies to hot-rolled steel H piles (hereinafter referred to as “steel H
piles”).
