Lubricants for wind turbine - Part 1. Bearing greases
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 33540 specifies the product variety and identification,
requirements and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging,
transportation and storage of the greases for wind turbine bearings.
This part applies to the lubrication of inland and coastal wind turbine bearings.
AND the applicable temperature range is -40 °C ~ 140 °C.
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For
the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable
to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including
all the amendments) are applicable to this Standard.
GB/T 269 Lubricating grease and petrolatum - Determination cone
penetration
GB/T 512 Determination of water content in lubricating greases
GB/T 3498 Petroleum products - Determination of dropping point of
lubricating greases (wide temperature range)
GB/T 7326 Lubricating grease; Corrosiveness to copper; Copper strip test
NB/SH/T 0324 Stand test method for oil separation from lubricating grease
(conical sieve method)
SH/T 0122 Determination method for stability of lubrication grease rotary
drum
SH 0164 Petroleum products - Rules for packaging, storage, transportation
and handover acceptance
SH/T 0202 Determination method for extreme pressure property of
lubricating grease (four-ball machine method)
SH/T 0204 Determination method for lubricant abrasion resistance (four-ball
machine method)
The exit-factory batch inspection items of wind turbine generator bearing
grease include. cone penetration (work cone penetration), dropping point, oil
separation (cone net method), copper strip corrosion, abrasion resistance
properties, moisture, and impurity content.
5.1.2 Exit-factory periodic inspection items
When the raw materials and production process do not have any changes that
may affect the product quality.
The exit-factory periodic inspection items of wind turbine generator main shaft
yaw variable pitch bearing grease include. cone penetration (extension work
cone penetration), oil separation, roller stability, oxidization stability, and low
temperature torque shall be inspected at least once every year.
The exit-factory periodic inspection items of wind turbine generator bearing
grease include. cone penetration (extension work cone penetration), roller
stability, oxidization stability, and low temperature torque shall be inspected at
least once every year.
5.1.3 Type inspection
Type inspection items are all inspection items as specified in Chapter 4
“Technical requirements”.
The type inspection is carried out in the following cases.
a) In case of new product putting into production or product finalization
authentication;
b) In case of major changes of raw materials, processes and so on that may
affect the product quality;
c) In case of major difference between the exit-factory inspection results and
the last type inspection results.
5.2 Batching
Under the conditions that the raw material and process are not changed, each
can or kettle of products is deemed as a group (batch).
5.3 Sampling
CONDUCT sampling in accordance with SH/T 0229, AND the sampling
volume shall comply with the volume requirements for the samples for
exit-factory inspection or type inspection and reservation.
5.4 Judgment
If the exit-factory inspection and type inspection results of the wind turbine
generator main shaft yaw variable pitch bearing grease comply with the
technical requirements of Table 1 in Chapter 4, this batch of products shall be
judged as qualified.
If the exit-factory inspection and type inspection results of the wind turbine
generator bearing grease comply with the technical requirements of Table 2 in
Chapter 4, this batch of products shall be judged as qualified.
5.5 Re-inspection rules
If there is an item of exit-factory inspection and type inspection failing to
comply with the technical requirements of Chapter 4, FOLLOW the
requirements of SH/T 0229 to re-take double number of samples for the
purposes of re-inspection. If the re-inspection results still fail to comply with the
technical requirements in Chapter 4, this batch of products will be deemed as
disqualified.
6 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
The marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and handover
acceptance of this product shall follow the requirements of SH 0164.
