- Part 1. General Requirements;
- Part 2. Polyvinyl Chloride Insulated and Sheathed Control Cables;
- Part 3. Cross-linked Polyethylene Insulated Control Cables.
This Part is the Part 1 of GB/T 9330.
This Part shall replace GB 9330.1-1988 "Plastic Insulated Control Cables-Part 1. General
Requirements".
The main changes of this Part over GB 9330.1-1988 are as follows.
- Add reference documents of GB/T 19666-2005 and JB/T 8137-1999 (Chapter 2 in this
edition);
- Add the symbol code of the aluminium-plastic composite film tape shield (Chapter 4 in
this edition);
- Add contents on cable marks (Chapter 4 in this edition);
- Modify the structure types of conductors (Table 1 in 1988 edition; 6.1.2 in this edition);
- Add the code of insulating mixture and the requirements on insulation thickness (Table
1 and Table 2 in this edition);
- Thickness requirements of copper tape shield (6.4.1 in this edition) were added;
- Add types and requirements of aluminium-plastic composite film tape shield (see 6.4.2
in this edition);
- Delete "the overlap ratio shall not be less than 15%" (8.1.1 in 1988 edition);
- Modify thickness of the inner liner in the structure of cable sheath (9.3 in 1988 edition;
Table 4 in this edition);
- Add the contents on the diameter of fine wires for armouring (Table 6 in this edition);
- Add the code of sheathing mixture and the thickness requirements (Table 7 and Table 8
in this edition);
- Delete the requirements on the average thickness of armoured cable sheath (10.3 in
1988 edition);
- Add the contents on the cross-linked polyethylene insulation resistance (Table 11 in this
edition);
- Add Appendix "Calculation Method of the Fictitious Diameters of Cable Structure"
(Appendix A in this edition).
Appendix A of this Part is normative.
This Part was proposed by China Electrical Equipment Industry Association.
This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Wire and Cables
of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 213).

Plastic insulated control cables –
Part 1. General requirements
1    Scope
This Part of GB/T 9330 specifies the codes, marking, technical requirements and inspection
rules of the extruded insulated and sheathed control cables with the rated voltage U0/U ≤
450/750V.
This Part is applicable to the control cables, with the rated AC voltage U0/U ≤ 450/750V, that
are used in the control and monitoring loops and protective lines.
2    Normative References
The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Part of GB/T
9330, constitute the provisions of this Part. For dated references, subsequent amendments to
(excluding correction to), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, the
parties whose enter into agreement according to this Part are encouraged to research whether
the latest editions of these documents are applied or not. For undated references, the latest
editions of the normative documents are applicable to this Part.

3    Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions AND those defined in GB/T 2900.10-2001 are applicable
to this Part.
3.1
8    Delivery Length
The cable shall be delivered according to the length agreed by both parties. The length
measurement error shall not exceed ±0.5%.
9    Inspection Rules
9.1 The cables shall not be shipped out of the factory until they pass the inspection of the
manufacturer' quality control department. The delivered products shall be accompanied by the
quality inspection certificate.
9.2 The products shall be checked for acceptance according to the specified test items.
9.3 The sampling quantity of the delivered lot shall be decided by both parties. It shall be
carried out according to the manufacturers' requirements if the user does not require.
If the results of sampling items are unqualified, double quantity of samples shall be taken for
the re-test on the unqualified items. If the results are still unqualified, 100% inspection shall
be carried out.
9.4 When there is dispute over the acceptance between the manufacturer and the user, the
arbitration test shall be carried out by the authority accepted by both parties.
