Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces JT/T 325-2013, Type dividing and class rating for commercial
motor-vehicles of passenger transport. Compared with JT/T 325-2013, in addition to
editorial modifications, the major technical changes are as follows.
-- it changes the scope (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of 2003 edition);
-- it changes the definition of term “commercial motor-vehicles of passenger
transport” (see 3.1; 3.1 of 2013 edition);
-- it adds the terms and definitions of “bus” and “passenger car” (see 3.1.1 and
3.1.2);
-- it changes the scope of small cars (see Table 1; Table 1 of 2013 edition);
-- it changes the class rating of passenger cars (see Table 2; Table 2 of 2013 edition);
-- it changes the content of passenger car rating (see 6.2; 6.2 of 2013 edition);
-- it adds the provision on passenger cars (see 7.3.4);
-- it deletes the provision on the quality guarantee period of commercial motor-
vehicles of passenger transport (see 8.1.1 of 2013 edition);
-- it deletes the provision on engine emissions (see 8.1.2 of 2013 edition);
-- it adds the provision on bus safety performance (see 8.1.2);
-- it adds the provision on bus driver zone (see 8.1.4);

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the type and class dividing for commercial motor-vehicles of
passenger transport as well the contents, rules and requirements for class rating.
This Standard applies to the class rating of buses of classes B and III of categories B
and III and passenger cars for commercial road passenger transport.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
commercial motor-vehicles of passenger transport
motor-vehicles which are used for commercial road passenger transport, including
buses and passenger cars
3.1.1
bus
buses of classes B and III of categories M2 and M3 which are used for commercial road
passenger transport
3.1.2
passenger car
motor-vehicles which are used for commercial road passenger transport, mainly used
6 Class rating contents
6.1 The main contents of bus rating include. bus structure, chassis, configuration,
active safety, dynamic performance, inside noise, air conditioning and control, etc.
6.2 The main contents of passenger car rating include. wheel base, configuration,
dynamic performance, air conditioning and control, fire extinguisher, satellite
positioning system, etc.
7 Class rating rules
7.1 Necessary conditions
All rating indexes specified in Clause 8 are necessary conditions.
7.2 Class rating for brand new commercial motor-vehicles of passenger
transport
Brand new commercial motor-vehicles of passenger transport refer to new products
developed by manufacturing enterprises or commercial motor-vehicles of passenger
transport which are imported from abroad; class rating is carried out as specified in
Clause 8, in accordance with the technical documents (import inspection documents)
supplied by the manufacturer and real vehicle testing results.
7.3 Class rating for in-use commercial motor-vehicles of passenger transport
7.3.1 Buses which are inspected and tested complying with relevant provisions in GB
18565, have the corresponding class qualifications rated.
7.3.2 Buses which are inspected and tested complying with relevant provisions on
class I vehicles in JT/T 198, have the corresponding high class bus qualifications rated.
7.3.3 In accordance with the requirements in 7.3.1 and 7.3.2, the existing technical
classes of buses and the real vehicle testing results of facilities are verified as specified
in Clause 8 and corresponding classes are rated.
7.3.4 Passenger cars shall be as required in GB 7258.
7.3.5 For in-use buses whose class have been rated, their class shall be re-rated in a
transfer.

8.1.14 Near bus emergency windows whose length is less than or equal to 7 m, in
addition to emergency hammers, devices with an automatic window breaking function
shall also be equipped; their window breaking function shall be as specified in JT/T
1030.
8.1.15 Buses (not including hydrogen fuel battery buses) with a length greater than 9
m shall be equipped with at least 2 escape hatches; buses with a length greater than
