Mask
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classifications, requirements,
test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and shelf
life for mask.
This Standard is applicable to mask products that are coated or applied to the surface
of human skin, and then are peeled off, scrubbed, or retained after a period of time to
serve as a concentrated care or cleaning.
Foam masks and fiber masks made by fermentation process are not applicable to this
Standard.

6 Test Methods
6.1 Sensory indicators
6.1.1 Appearance
Take the specimen, visually examine at the room temperature and under indirect-
sunlight.
6.1.2 Fragrant
Take the specimen, smell it for identification.
6.2 Physical-chemical indicators
6.2.1 pH
6.2.1.1 Mask
6.2.1.1.1 Fiber mask
Squeeze the liquid in the mask; take the squeezed liquid and test according to the
method (dilution method) specified in GB/T 13531.1.
6.2.1.1.2 Gel molding mask
Take 1 portion of specimen with dimension of about 5 mm × 5 mm; add 10 portions of
boiled and cooled laboratory water; and stir at 25°C for 10 min. Take the clear liquid
and test according to the method (direct measurement method) specified in GB/T
13531.1.
6.2.1.2 Cream mask, gel mask, mud mask, powder mask
It shall be tested according to the method (dilution method) specified in GB/T 13531.1.
6.2.2 Heat-resistant
6.2.2.1 Instrument
The instruments for test are as follows:
a) Constant temperature incubator: the accuracy of temperature control is ±1°C;
b) Test tube: φ20mm×120mm.
6.2.2.2 Operation procedure
6.2.2.2.1 Non-transparent packaging product
specifications.
The sampling of the fiber mask indicates to squeeze the liquid from the mask; then
take the squeezed liquid and test according to the method specified in Cosmetics
Safety Technical specifications.
6.4 Net content
It shall be determined according to the method specified in JJF 1070.
7 Inspection Rules
It shall be implemented as per QB/T 1684.
8 Marking, Packaging, Transportation, Storage, Shelf
Life
8.1 Marking of sales packaging
It shall be implemented as per the provisions of GB 5296.3. The instruction manual of
the product shall be marked.
8.2 Packaging
It shall be implemented as per GB/T 1685.
8.3 Transportation
It shall be gently loaded/unloaded and stacked according to the icon-sign of the box.
Avoid violent vibrations, impacts, sun-rain.
8.4 Storage
It shall be stored in a normal temperature, ventilated and dry warehouse at the
temperature no higher than 38°C; and shall not be close to water sources, stoves or
heating. During storage, it shall be at least 20cm away from the ground and at least
50cm away from the inner wall. There shall be a channel in the middle. Stack according
to the icon-sign of the box; and strictly follow the first-in first-out principle.
8.5 Shelf life
Under the transportation and storage conditions that are stipulated, if the packaging is
complete and unopened, the product shelf life is implemented according to the actual
marking on the sales package.
