1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods,
inspection rules, etc. of the combined switch on the steering column of the
automobile (hereinafter referred to as the "combined switch").
This standard applies to combined switches installed on the steering column of
automobiles.
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For
the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable
to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including
all the amendments) are applicable to this standard.

Auto return framework
The mechanism installed in the switch which, when the handle of the turn
signal switch is in the left (L) or right (R) position, if the steering wheel returns
from the left or right position to the original position, makes the handle
automatically return to the neutral (N) position.

Speed character
The characteristics of automatic return mechanism which cancels the
steering signal when the steering wheel returns at high speed.
4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 Product drawings and technical documents.
The combined switch shall meet the requirements of this standard and be
manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the product drawings and
technical documents approved by the prescribed procedures.
4.1.2 Appearance
The combined switch shall have good appearance quality; the structure shall
be intact; there shall be no incorrect assembly, missing assembly or other poor
assembly. The surface paint film shall be uniform and free from blisters, blanks,
accumulation or overflow. The metal parts shall have an anti-corrosion layer.
The plastic parts shall be free of cracks; it shall have no deformation that affects
the use and appearance.
The indication and signal’s identification symbols used by the combined switch
shall comply with the requirements of GB 4094. The identification symbols shall
be clear and free from partial shedding, shrinkage or blurring.
4.1.3 Dimensions
The size of the combined switch shall conform to the specifications of the
product drawings of this type.
4.2 Rated load
The functions, functional characteristics and voltage drop shall meet the
requirements of 4.3 and 4.7.
4.12 Cyclic damp heat resistance
After the combined switch has been subjected to the cyclic damp heat test, its
appearance shall meet the requirements of 4.1.2. The functions, functional
characteristics and voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.3 and 4.7.
4.13 Salt spray resistance
After the combined switch has undergone the salt spray resistance test, its
appearance shall meet the requirements of 4.1.2. The functions, functional
characteristics, and voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.3 and 4.7.
There shall be no corrosion pits on the surface after cleaning.
4.14 Dust resistance
After the combined switch is subjected to the dust resistance test, the function,
functional characteristics and voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.3
and 4.7.
4.15 Vibration resistance
After the combined switch is subjected to the vibration resistance test, the
appearance shall meet the requirements of 4.1.2; the function, functional
characteristics and voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.3 and 4.7.
4.16 Strength of identification symbol
4.16.1 Resistance to chemical reagents
After the combined switch is tested for resistance to chemical reagents, the
surface of the sample does not change; meanwhile the marking content is clear
and readable.
4.16.2 Adhesion performance
After the adhesion test of the combined switch, the surface peeling off area of
the identification symbol, the corners of the square, the cut intersection shall
not be significantly larger than 5%.
4.16.3 Wear resistance
After the combined switch is subjected to abrasion resistance test, the
identification symbol shall be identifiable.
4.17 Durability
The electronic combined switch shall be subjected to a slow drop and slow rise
test of the power supply voltage. During the test, the functions, functional
characteristics, voltage drop shall meet the requirements of 4.3 and 4.7; after
the test, it shall be turned on and off normally.
