This Standard is revised with reference to United Nations Economic Commission of
Europe regulations ECE R39-2003 Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of
Vehicles with Regard to the Speed-meters Equipment including its Installation (English
version).
This Standard replaces GB 15082-1999 Motor vehicles - Speed meters.
Compared with GB 15082-1999, the main changes of this Standard are as follows.
- Modify the contents of general requirements (sub-clause 3.3 of 1999 edition; sub-
clause 3.3 and 3.4 of this edition);
- modify the basic error relationship (clause 4 of 1999 edition; clause 4 of this edition).
This Standard was proposed by the National Development and Reform Commission.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Auto
Standardization Administration of China.
