1 Scope
This Standard specifies the content-limits, test methods, inspection rules and product
mark of mercury, arsenic, cadmium, lead and chromium in water-soluble fertilizers.
This Standard is applicable to liquid or solid water-soluble fertilizers that are produced
and sold within the territory of the People’s Republic of China.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this Standard.
3.1 Water-soluble Fertilizers
Water-soluble fertilizers refer to liquid or solid fertilizers that are dissolved or diluted
with water for the purposes of irrigation, fertilization, foliar fertilization, soilless
cultivation, seed soaking, etc.
6.3 The sampling of solid or bulk products shall comply with the stipulations in GB/T
6679. The sampling of fluid products shall comply with the stipulations in GB/T 6680.
6.4 The sample shall be placed in a clean and dry container, mixed promptly. Take 600
g of solid sample of 600 mL of fluid sample; divide it into 2 clean and dry containers;
seal them up and put on a label. Indicate the name of manufacturer, the name of
product, batch number or date of production, date of sampling and the name of sampler.
6.5 After several divisions of solid sample, take out around 100 g. Then, promptly grind
it till it can completely pass through 0.50 mm sieve (if the sample is moist, it can pass
through 1.00 mm sieve). Mix it up, then, place it in a clean and dry container; reserve
it for determination.
6.7 When manufacturing enterprise conducts the exit-factory inspection, if one or more
indicators in the inspection result cannot comply with the requirements of this Standard,
then, re-take a sample from the doubled sampling batch, and conduct re-inspection. If
one or more indexes in the re-inspection result cannot comply with the requirements
in this Standard, the whole batch of products shall not be considered as qualified in
acceptance check.
6.8 In the determination of product quality, adopt “rounding-off comparison method” in
GB/T 8170.
6.10 When there is dispute between the supply side and the demand side about
product quality and demand arbitration, it shall be executed in accordance with the
stipulations in Product Quality Arbitration, Inspection and Product Quality Assessment
Management Measures.
7 Mark
7.1 Product quality certificate, packaging and label shall indicate the maximum
content-limits of mercury, arsenic, cadmium, lead, chromium, and other contents that
shall be indicated.
7.2 For other requirements, it shall comply with the stipulations in NY 1979.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the content-limits, test methods, inspection rules and product
mark of mercury, arsenic, cadmium, lead and chromium in water-soluble fertilizers.
This Standard is applicable to liquid or solid water-soluble fertilizers that are produced

3 Terms and Definitions

3.1 Water-soluble Fertilizers
