Electrical fire monitoring system - Part 3: Temperature
sensing electrical fire monitoring detector
1 Scope
This Part of GB 14287 specifies terms and definitions, classification, requirements,
tests, inspection rules and marking of temperature sensing electrical fire monitoring
detectors.
This Part applies to temperature sensing electrical fire monitoring detectors in electrical
fire monitoring systems.

the detector shall send an alarm signal within 40 s and light up the alarm indicator light.
The alarm indication of non-independent detectors shall be maintained until the
electrical fire monitoring equipment connected to it is reset, and the alarm indication of
independent detectors shall be maintained until it is manually reset.
5.2.4 The alarm temperature of detectors shall be set in the range of 45 °C ~ 140 °C;
the absolute value of the difference between the alarm value and the set value shall
not be greater than 5 % of the set value.
5.2.5 The display error of detectors with real-time temperature display function shall
not be greater than 5 %.
5.2.6 If there is a break or a short in the connection line between the signal processing
unit and the external temperature sensor of non-independent detectors, the detector
shall send a fault signal to the electrical fire monitoring equipment connected to it.
5.2.7 The alarm value of detectors can be set in the detector or the electrical fire
monitoring equipment connected to it, and on-site settings can be made only through
special tools, passwords and other means.
5.2.8 Combined multi-sensing detectors with function of measuring residual current
shall also meet the requirements of GB 14287.2.
5.3 Monitoring alarm function
5.3.1 Detectors in the alarm state shall send sound and light alarm signals and indicate
the alarm value and location. The sound alarm signal can be manually eliminated;
there shall be sound elimination instructions when the sound alarm signal is manually
eliminated. When there are other alarm signals input, the sound alarm signal shall be
able to be restarted.
5.3.2 Under alarm conditions, the sound pressure level (A weighting) at 1 m in front of
its audio device shall be greater than 70 dB and less than 115 dB.
5.3.3 When there is a break or short in the connection line between the signal
processing unit and the external temperature sensor, the detector shall be able to send
sound and light fault signals. The sound fault signal shall be clearly different from the
sound alarm signal. The sound fault signal shall be able to be manually eliminated.
The light fault signal shall be maintained until the fault condition is restored.
5.3.4 The sound alarm signal of detectors shall be prior to the sound fault signal.
5.3.5 Independent detectors can be connected to 4 sensors at most.
5.3.6 The alarm information shall be displayed prior to the fault information. In the
alarm state, the existing fault information shall be able to be manually queried, and the
alarm information and fault information shall not be displayed alternately.
5.3.7 The detector can be equipped with a set of control outputs. When the detector
sends alarms, the control output shall operate within 3 s. The performance of the
control output shall comply with the specifications of the manufacturer.
5.3.8 The detector shall be able to manually check the its audio device, all the indicator
lights on the panel and the function of display. The control output of detectors shall not
operate during the self-inspection.
5.4 Communication function
5.4.1 Non-independent detectors shall be able to transmit real-time temperature and
fault signals to the associated electrical fire monitoring equipment.
5.4.2 Independent detectors shall have at least one set of communication ports.
5.5 Performance of major components
5.5.1 Indicator lights
5.5.1.1 Each indicator light shall be clearly indicated with its functions in Chinese.
5.5.1.2 Indicator lights shall apply different colors, red indicates the alarm state, yellow
indicates the fault state and green indicates the normal state.
5.5.1.3 Indicator lights shall be clearly visible at 3 m in front of it and in ambient
conditions where the illuminance does not exceed 500 lx.
5.5.2 Displays
5.5.2.1 Independent detectors shall display information using a digital or letter display.
5.5.2.2 Under the environmental condition with the illumination of not more than 500
lx, the information displayed shall be clearly readable at 0.8 m in front and within 22.5 °
of viewing angle range.
5.5.3 Terminals
5.5.3.1 Detectors shall be equipped with external terminals.
5.5.3.2 Terminals shall be clearly marked with their functions.
5.5.3.3 Strong electrical terminals shall be located inside the detector or protected by
safe and reliable protective measures.
5.5.3.4 Strong and weak electrical terminals shall be set separately.
5.5.4 Structure
5.5.4.1 The enclosure of detectors shall be solid and reliable.
5.5.4.2 Detectors shall be installed and fixed in a reliable manner.
5.6 Protection performance
The protection performance of detectors shall meet the requirements of GB 23757.
5.7 Repeatability
Repeat 6 measurements of the alarm value and alarm time of detectors; the time
interval between the two measurements shall not be less than 30 min; the alarm value
and alarm time of detectors in each measurement shall meet the requirements of 5.2.
5.8 Insulation resistance
When the working voltage of the external live terminals and the power plug of detectors
is greater than 50 V, the insulation resistance between the external live terminals and
the power plug and ...
