This Part equivalently adopted IEC 60730-2-7:2008 Automatic Electrical Controls for
Household and Similar Use - Particular Requirements for Timers and Time Switches
(Version II).
The structure of this Part was completely the same as IEC 60730-2-7:2008. In this Part,
if there are the corresponding national standards, refer to the national standards; while
if there are not the corresponding national standards temporarily, refer to the listed IEC
standards.
For the benefit of the use, this Part do the following editorial changes:
a) Use decimal point “.” to replace the comma “,” that acts as the decimal point;
b) Add the foreword of the national standard;
c) Replace “this Standard” by “this Part”;
d) Use “GB 14536.1” to replace “Part 1”.
This Part was used together with GB 14536.1-2008 Automatic Electrical Controls for
Household and Similar Use – General Requirements.
This Part replaced GB 14536.8-1996 Automatic Electrical Controls for Household and
Similar Use - Particular Requirements for Timers and Time Switches.
Compared with GB 14536.8-1996, this Part has the major changes as follows:
a) Modify the names of server clauses and sub-clauses according to the changes
of GB 14536.1;
b) Adjust the limit of 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2 in Clause 1 Scope; add 1.1.3 and 1.1.4
replacement; correspondingly adjust 1.2 rated voltage range; add 1.5 normative
references;
c) Add the content of 6.5.101 in Clause 6;
d) Add modification against the Table 17.2-1 in Clause 17 Durability; China also
uses overvoltage test to replace overload test; significantly adjust 17.16, also
adjust some standard data;
e) Delete the addition contents in Clause 20 Creepage Distance, Clearance and
Distances through Solid Insulation;
f) Add Clause 28 Guidance on the Use of Electronic Disconnection;
g) Change the value in D.101.2.3 of Appendix D;
h) Add Appendix H.
The Appendix D, Appendix H, and Appendix AA of this Part are normative one.
This Part was proposed by China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association.
This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for
Standardization of Automatic Electric Control for Household (SAC/TC 212).
