5 Test methods
5.1 Specification
Use a steel ruler of which the scale value is 1 mm to measure.
5.2 Weight-bearing
5.2.1 Swing test
The schoolbags shall bear weight according to the provisions. It shall
respectively test the straps and handles. hang in suspension and the straps
shall be in the longest state; OR adjust the distance to the swing axis as 50 cm
~ 60 cm. Swing 30 times (a round trip is regarded as 1 time). Swing angle is
(60 ± 3)°. When swing stops, inspect whether the straps, handles, adjustment
belts, hooks and loops are firm. Within 2 mm, measure the lengths of parts as
connection role. Compared with the original length, check if the deformation
exceeds 20%.
5.2.2 Static, falling tests
Measure the lengths of parts as connection role. The bag shall bear the weight
1.2 times the specified weight. Hang in suspension (the straps are in the longest
state). The height from the bag bottom to the ground (the ground surface is
hardwood board) is 60 cm. Make the force even and in static state. After 30 min,
make it fall vertically. Inspect whether the straps, handles, adjustment belt,
hooks and loops are firm. Within 2 mm, measure the lengths of parts as
connection role. Compared with the original length, check if the deformation
exceeds 20%.
5.3 Tests of other performances
5.3.1 Suture strength
Take two pieces of suture fabric from the main part of the schoolbag of which
the area of each piece is 60 mm × 60 mm. The upper and lower fixture width is
50 mm, depth is (30 ± 2) mm. Use tension machine to test at a tension speed
of (100 ± 10) mm/min till it breaks (thread or fabric). Take the maximum value
as the test result. The the reading on the tension machine exceeds the specified
suture strength value but the sample is not broken, it shall suspend the test.
5.3.2 Electroplating accessories
Carry out the test according to QB/T 3826-1999. Evaluate the test results
according to QB/T 3832-1999.
5.3.3 Zipper durable fastness
7 Marks, packaging, transport, storage

7.1.1 The product’s name, manufacturer (or distributor) name, address,
trademark, standard reference used, production date or lot number should be
marked on the product (or packaging).
