Implementation rules for energy labels of small and
medium-sized three-phase asynchronous motors
1 General
1.1 This Rules is formulated in accordance with the "Measures for the Administration
of Energy Labels" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures").
1.2 This Rules is applicable to the use, filing and announcement of energy labels
(hereinafter referred to as labels) for general purpose three-phase asynchronous motor
or general-purpose explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous motor. The rated voltage
of the motor is 1000 V and below. It uses 50 Hz three-phase AC power supply. The
rated power is in the range of 0.75 kW ~ 375 kW. The number of poles is 2 poles, 4
poles, 6 poles and 8 poles. It has single-speed closed self-fan cooling, N design and
continuous work system.
Inapplicable motors mainly include:
(1) Motors that are fully integrated with other equipment such as pumps, fans,
compressors and reduction gearboxes and cannot be tested separately;
(2) Motors specially designed for driving special machinery (e.g., with large starting
torque, special requirements for torque stiffness and/or ultimate torque
characteristics, large number of drive/stop cycles);
(3) Specially designed motors that are used in harsh power supply environments (for
example, the starting current of the motor cannot be too large, and the grid voltage
and/or frequency fluctuates greatly);
(4) Motors used under special environmental conditions, such as motors installed at
high altitudes ( >1000 m), smoke exhaust motors (temperature levels exceeding
250°C and above), textile motors, special motors for ships, etc.;
(5) Explosion-proof motors manufactured for safety needs and specific design
restrictions (such as increased air gap, reduced starting current, enhanced sealing);
(6) Motors specially designed for changing working conditions;
(7) Conical rotor motors for electric lifting hoists and construction machinery;
(8) Motors that the electromagnetic brake is inside the motor casing (the fan cover
is inside the casing and outside the casing);
3.2 The format of the "Energy test report for small and medium-sized three-phase
asynchronous motors" (hereinafter referred to as the test report) is shown in Appendix
2. It can be downloaded from the "China Energy Label Network"
(www.energylabelrecord.com).
3.3 Producers or importers can use their own testing laboratories or entrust third-party
inspection and testing institutions that have obtained qualifications in accordance with
the law to test products. Determine product energy levels based on mandatory national
standards for energy.
Producers or importers who use their own testing laboratories to determine energy
levels shall ensure that their testing laboratories have the ability to conduct testing in
accordance with mandatory national standards for energy, and are encouraged to obtain
accreditation from national accreditation agencies.
3.4 If a self-owned testing laboratory is used for testing, materials proving the
laboratory's testing capabilities (including laboratory personnel capabilities, equipment
capabilities, and testing management specifications) must be provided. If it has been
accredited by a national accreditation agency, a copy of the corresponding accreditation
certificate shall also be provided. If a third-party inspection and testing agency is used
for testing, a copy of the inspection and testing agency’s qualification certificate shall
be provided.
Authorized agencies shall verify the energy labels and product energy test reports used
by manufacturers and importers.
4 Determination of label information
4.1 Producers refer to product brand owners or users who are legally responsible for
product quality.
4.2 The specifications and models of small and medium-sized three-phase
asynchronous motors shall be consistent with the markings on the nameplate.
4.3 Parameters related to product energy performance such as energy grade and
efficiency shall be determined based on the currently effective version of GB 18613
and the test report. The efficiency value marked on the label shall not exceed the value
range of the corresponding energy grade. The tolerance shall comply with the
requirements of GB/T 755-2019 "Rotating electrical machines -- Rating and
performance".
4.4 The mandatory national standard for energy based on it refers to the currently
effective version of GB 18613.
4.5 When the manufacturer or importer registers, the product energy information code
is directly generated by the label information system.
4.6 Products included in the national energy “Top Runner” catalog shall be labeled with
energy “Top Runner” information.
5 Printing, application and display of labels
5.1 Every small and medium-sized three-phase asynchronous motor shipped or
imported must be labeled.
5.2 The manufacturer or importer prints the label by himself and is responsible for the
quality of the printing.
5.3 The label shall be printed on coated paper of 80 grams or above or other durable
material that can achieve the same effect.
5.4 The label shall be pasted or hung on an obvious part of the body of the small and
medium-sized three-phase asynchronous motor, and explained on the product
packaging or instruction manual. If the product is traded online, the corresponding label
shall also be displayed in a prominent position on the main product information display
page.
5.5 The label placed on small and medium-sized three-phase asynchronous motors shall
comply with the provisions of Article 2 of this Rules. Patterns, text and colors may not
be changed. The label specifications can be enlarged proportionally based on the
provisions of Article 2.1 of this Rules.
5.6 The labels used in product packaging, instructions, the main page for online
transaction product information display, and advertising can be enlarged or reduced
proportionally. The paper version can be printed in a single color. The text in the label
shall be clearly legible.
5.7 For products listed in the national energy "Top Runner" catalog, products shipped
30 days after the release of the catalog shall use energy labels containing energy "Top
Runner" information.
6 Label filing
6.1 The manufacturer or importer shall file the records one by one according to product
specifications and models. Products of the same series are divided into three segments
according to the frame number: 80~160, 180~280, and 315~355. Each segment is
regarded as a filing unit. Products in the same filing unit must fill out a filing form.
Submit inspection reports for two main inspection specifications and models (the
largest frame number and the smallest frame number in this unit). Products with other
specifications do not need to submit test reports.
6.2 Producers and impo...
