Foreword
The full content of this Standard is compulsory.
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard serves as a replacement of DB11/ 238-2012 Gasoline for Motor Vehicles.
Since the date of implementation of this Standard, DB11/ 238-2012 shall be abolished.
In comparison with DB11/ 238-2012, there are several main changes as follows:
---3.2 is modified into “gasoline refueling machine for motor vehicles shall indicate
in a prominent location: ‘Standard No. + spacing + nameplate + gasoline for
motor vehicles’, or ‘nameplate + Jing VI + gasoline’”;
---4.1 is modified into “4.1 additives used in gasoline for motor vehicles shall have
no acknowledged detrimental effects and shall be used in accordance with the
recommended proper dosage. Any additives or contaminants that may lead to
abnormal operation of motor vehicles, such as: methylal, aniline, halogen and
phosphorus-containing and silicon-containing compounds, cannot be added to
gasoline for motor vehicles.”;
---The technical requirements towards the content of mercaptan sulfur are
modified;
---The content of olefin is modified into “not more than 15% (volume fraction)”;
---“Olefin content + aromatic hydrocarbon content is not more than 60% (volume
fraction)” is modified into “aromatic hydrocarbon content is not more than 35%
(volume fraction)”;
---Benzene content is modified into “0.8% (volume fraction)”;
---Vapor pressure is modified into “from March 16 to May 14, 45 kPa ~ 70 kPa;
from May 15 to August 31, 42 kPa ~ 62 kPa; from September 1 to November
14, 45 kPa ~ 70 kPa; from November 15 to March 15, 47 kPa ~ 80 kPa”;
---Evaporation temperature of 50% distillation range is modified into “not higher
than 110 °C”.
This Standard was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of Beijing Municipal
Environmental Protection Bureau.
The implementation of this Standard shall be organized by Beijing Municipal
Environmental Protection Bureau; Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce.
