A.1 Damage failure mode
Damage failure modes mainly include.
- Fracture. Geometric surface separation with limited area. The location of
failure includes controller shell, motor base, cover and so on.
- Fragmentation. The phenomenon of parts becoming many irregularly
shaped fragments. The location of failure includes bearings, rotor splines
and so on.
- Cracks. Minor cracks on the surface or inside the component. The
location of failure includes controller shell, motor base, cover and so on.
- Fractures. Visible cracks in welds, sheet metal parts, and non-metallic
