This Document was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for
Standardization – Part 1: Rules for the Structure and Drafting of Standardizing Documents.
This Document was formulated according to the market demands and in combination of actual
situations of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.
This Document replaced Q/BQB 613-2018 Abrasion Resistant Steel Plates for Engineering
Machine. Compared with Q/BQB 613-2018, the major technical changes of this Document are
as follows besides the structural adjustments and editorial modifications:
--- Change the year number of GB/T 2975 in the Normative References;
--- Add the Clause 3 “Terms and Definitions”.
The Appendix A of this Document is informative.

1 Scope
This Document specifies the dimensions, appearance, technical requirements, tests and
inspections, markings and inspection documents of abrasion resistant steel plates for
engineering machine.
This Document is applicable to abrasion resistant steel plates for engineering machine produced
by Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.
2 Normative References
The provisions in following documents become the essential provisions of this Document
through reference in this Document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates
indicated are applicable to this Document; for the undated documents, only the latest version
(including all the amendments) is applicable to this Document.

7 Technical Requirements
7.1 Designation and chemical composition
7.1.1 The designation and chemical composition (smelting analysis) of steel shall comply with
the provisions of Table 3.
7.1.2 The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of steel shall comply with the
provisions of GB/T 222.
7.2 Delivery status
The steel plate is delivered in the quenching or quenching + tempering status.
7.3 Mechanical properties and process properties
7.3.1 The impact properties and surface hardness requirements of the steel plate shall meet the
requirements of Table 4.
7.3.2 The impact absorption energy is the average value of the test results of a group of three
specimens. The test result of one of the specimens is allowed to be less than the specified value,
but no less than 70% of the specified value.
7.3.3 Impact test is only applicable to steel plates with a thickness of 6mm or more. When
impact test is conducted on steel plates with a thickness of 12mm or more, a standard specimen
of 10mm×10mm×55mm shall be used; and the test results shall meet the specified values listed
in the table. When impact test is conducted on steel plates with a thickness of 6mm or more and
less than 12mm, a small-sized specimen of 7.5mm×10mm×55mm or 5mm×10mm×55mm shall
be used, and the test results shall be no less than 75% or 50% of the specified values listed in
the table, respectively.
7.3.4 If the impact test results do not meet the specified requirements, three more specimens
may be taken from the same sampled product for inspection. At this time, the test results
(average value) of the six specimens before and after shall be no less than the specified value;
