3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Belt head
One end of the belt which is equipped with the belt key.
3.2
Belt bottom
The other end of the belt as relative to the belt head.
3.3
Swing head
The folding portion of the belt head material.
3.4
Belt body
The ring which guides and binds the belt.
3.5
Decorative belt
The belt which is used for decorative purposes, such as ultra-thin decorative
belt, decorative belt for performance, etc.
4 Product classification
4.1 Classification by material used.
- Leather, fur belt;
ultra-fine fiber material are respectively inspected in accordance with GB/T
3920, wherein the coating-free ultra-fine fiber material uses the rectangular
rubbing head.
The sample whose surface coating thickness needs to be measured is
inspected in accordance with GB/T 22889.
6.5 Binding force between belt key and belt
Respectively fix the belt key and belt onto the upper and lower clamps of the
tensile machine, the spacing between the upper clamp and the lower clamp is
150 mm, start the machine, until the belt slips out of the belt key or the belt
ruptures, read the maximum value as the binding force between the belt key
and belt.
6.6 Belt rupture force
Cut a segment of specimen from the belt portion without belt hole (belt tooth),
fix it onto the two clamps of the tensile machine, the spacing between the upper
and lower clamps is 200 mm, start the tensile machine, until the specimen
ruptures, read the maximum force in the tensile process as the belt rupture
force.
6.7 Belt hole rupture force
Cut a segment of the specimen with belt hole, the distance from the belt hole
under test to the belt test end is 10 mm, fix the metal hook with a 4 mm diameter
(bearing stress more than 50 kg) onto the upper clamp of the tensile machine,
hook into the belt hole, use the lower clamp to fix the other end of the belt, the
clamp spacing is 100 mm, start the tensile machine, until the belt is completely
ruptured, read the maximum value as the belt hole rupture force.
For the belt which has a hole diameter less than 4 mm, select the metal hook
of diameter approaching to 3 mm and 2 mm to perform test.
6.8 Belt tooth engagement force
Make the belt key and belt tooth engage firmly, respectively fix them onto the
two clamps of the tensile machine, start the machine, until the belt slips from
the belt tooth, read the maximum value as the belt tooth engagement force.
6.9 Belt rubbing resistance
It is tested in accordance with QB/% 5246, totally 500 tests are made.
6.10 Belt key
It is tested in accordance with QB/T 4117.

the belt surface/inside exceeds 20% of the total area of the belt
surface/inside material, it shall be indicated;
- If more than 90% of the belt surface and belt inside uses the first layer of
leather (except for the first layer film moved leather), it may be marked of
“real-leather”;
- If the main belt surface material uses splitting leather material, it should be
indicated of the “splitting”;
- If the leather base coating thickness or covering film thickness is more than
the leather base thickness, it should not be marked with “leather”
independently, but marked with “composite material”;
- It shall be indicated of the production origin for the imported product.
