Foreword
TB/T 1484 Cables on board rolling stock is divided into the following parts.
- Part 1. Standard wall insulation cables up to AC 3 kV;
- Part 2. Thin wall insulation cables;
- Part 3. 30 kV Ethylene propylene rubber insulation single-phase electric power cables;
- Part 4. Low-smoke halogen-free flame retardant cables for communications and network.
This Part is Part 1 of TB/T 1484.
This Part is drafted according to the rule in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Part replaces TB/T 1484.3-2001 TB/T 1484.3-2001 Specification for railway locomotive and
vehicle cables for booking - Part 3. 30 kV Ethylene propylene rubber insulation single-phase
electric power cables. Compared with TB/T 1484.3-2001, the main technical changes of this Part
are as follows.
— Add toxicity test and other chemical analysis method (see 5.12.4);
— Add model/name/specification and structure (see Chapter 4).
This Part was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of CSR Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd.

1 Scope
This Part specifies the structure, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of
cables for communication networks on board rolling stock (including CRH train).
The products that this Part specifies are applicable to rolling stock (including CRH train), and also
applicable to the data transmission between other railway vehicles.

3 Operating characteristics
3.1 Working frequency of cable. maximum 20 MHz.
3.2 Working temperature of cable. -40°C ~ +85°C.
3.3 Allowable bending radius of cable. for fixed laying, it is 3 times of the external diameter of cable;
for unfixed laying, it is 5 times of the external diameter of cable.
3.4 It shall be used in the place where there is no mineral oil and fuel pollution.
4 Model, category, specification and indication method of product
4.1 Model
4.1.1 The model of cable is composed of model code and specification code.
5.8.4 Non-hygroscopic non-metal rip-rope shall be placed under sheath.
5.9 Manufacturing length of cable
The manufacturing length of cable shall be the integer-multiples of 100 m~110 m.
5.10 Electrical properties of cable
5.10.1 General
For electrical properties, please refer to Table 7.
