Kitchen furniture
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements,
test methods, inspection rules and markings, instructions for use, packaging,
transportation, storage of kitchen furniture.
This standard applies to kitchen furniture made of wood, wood-based panels,
other wood materials for cabinets. Kitchen furniture made of other materials can
refer to this standard.
2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 18884.1-2002, QB/T 3914-1999
as well as the following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Kitchen furniture
A collective name for a series of cabinets (tables) used in the kitchen for
making meals and having shelf and storage functions. It is also known as a
kitchen cabinet. Kitchen cabinets usually include floor cabinets, wall cabinets
and other independent cabinets, such as middle cabinets, high cabinets, etc.,
and optional functional accessories such as rotating baskets and pull-out
baskets.
3.2
Edge treatment
Refers to the sealing treatment of the cross-section (section) of the board by
the use of sealing materials such as edge band, sealing glue or paint.
3.3
Fittings
The necessary components of the kitchen cabinet structure and assembly,
including metal and non-metallic accessories, such as: hinges, handles,

4.1 By the location in the space

4.4 By use function

5 Specifications
5.1 Size of kitchen cabinet
The size of the kitchen cabinet is expressed by width (W), depth (D), height (H).
The design size should be expressed in terms of the building modulus, which
pipeline and joint.
6.6 The opening of the kitchen cabinet in which the equipment is placed shall
reserve the required pipeline position and installation clearance; meanwhile it
shall be provided with a slot and a process hole that meet the needs of the
equipment installation. If an embedded gas cooker with a lower air inlet is used,
it shall design the air inlet (or air duct), which can meet the requirements of the
air inlet volume required for maximum firepower combustion. The center of the
cooker’s installation hole and the center of the range hood shall be consistent,
which has a deviation of not more than 50 mm. After installation, the front edge
of the cooker shall not exceed the front edge of the range hood.
6.7 The storage cabinet should adopt a closed structure, which is not easy to
enter insects and dust.
6.8 For all retractable (or movable tables and cabinets) components, sliding
doors, and hinged components, if their movement by themselves may cause
bodily injury, then the self-movement distance of those components from the
closed position shall not exceed 200 mm. During design, it shall make full
consideration and evaluation.
6.9 The drawer structure should not be designed in the cooker cabinet, to
prevent it from falling off due to collision with the cooker pipeline.
7 Requirements
7.1 Appearance
7.1.1 Countertop appearance
7.1.1.1 Natural stone countertops
7.1.1.1.1 The surface shall be flat and smooth, without obvious cracks,
scratches, stains, pits and other defects. The surface of the board is free of
cracks and edge loss.
7.1.1.1.2 Chamfers shall be uniform.
7.1.1.2 Artificial stone countertops
7.1.1.2.1 The surface shall be flat and smooth, without obvious cracks,
scratches, indentations, stains, pits or other defects.
7.1.1.2.2 There is no gap in the splicing of the countertop and there are no
obvious signs of splicing. The chamfers shall be uniform and consistent; there
shall be no missing edges or corners.
7.1.1.2.3 The countertop shall have a clear pattern, uniform color, no obvious
stains, discoloration, color fading, bubbles, blisters or other defects.
7.1.1.3 Wood-based panel countertop
7.1.1.3.1 The finish layer shall be flat and smooth, without obvious color
difference, stain, discoloration, color fading, scratches, wet or dry flowers, etc.
7.1.1.3.2 The chamfers shall be uniform.
7.1.1.3.3 The finish layer and the substrate shall be firmly bonded, without
degumming, debonding and bubbling.
7.1.1.3.4 The joints shall be tight and the pattern shall not be dislocated.
