Hygienic standard for polytetrafluorethylene used
as inner coating of food containers
1 Subject content and scope
This Standard specifies the hygienic requirements for polytetrafluorethylene
used as inner coating of food containers.
This Standard applies to the polytetrafluorethylene coating which uses
polytetrafluorethylene as main raw material and is added with certain additives.
It is used to be coated on metal surfaces such as aluminum plates and iron
plates. After sintered by high temperature, it is used as the anti-sticking coating
to contact with non-acidic food containers. The usage temperature is limited
below 250 ºC.

GB 5009.60 Method for analysis of hygienic standard of products of
polyethylene polystyrene and polypropyrene for food packaging
3 Sensory indicators
3.1 The surface of coating shall be flat and smooth. The color shall be uniform,
no-spots and no-cracks.

This Standard was proposed by Ministry of Health Supervision Department of
the People's Republic of China .
This Standard was drafted by Shanghai Supervision and Inspection Institute of
Food Hygiene, and Shanghai Institute of Organic Fluorine Material.
Main drafters of this Standard. Zhu Yiyan, Gu Zhenhua, Lu Wenhua, and Gu
Wenjin.
