Foreword
Clause 4.3 of this Standard is mandatory and others are recommendatory.
This standard is drafted according to the rules specified in GB/T-1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB 18613-2006 "Minimum Allowable Values of Energy
Efficiency and the Energy Efficiency Grades for Small and Medium Three-phase
Asynchronous Motors" and has the key changes as follows.
——The range of rated power was changed from 0.55kW~315kW in the original
standard to 0.75kW~375kW;
——All-level energy efficiency indexes of motors were improved correspondingly;
——The test method is to measure according to Method B——analysis method
for measurement of input-output power loss in GB/T 1032;
——The efficiency requirements of motors under 75% rated output power were
cancelled;
——The requirements of power factor in 4.5.2 of the original standard were
cancelled;
——The requirements of energy efficiency grade marking in Chapter 6 of the
original standard were cancelled.
This Standard was referred to IEC 60034-30 "Efficiency Classes of Single-speed,
Three-phase, Cage-induction Motors".
This standard is proposed by the Resource Conservation and Environmental
Protection Division of National Development and Reform Commission.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on
Energy Fundamentals and Management of Standardization Administration of China
(SAC/TC20).

Introduction
This revision of GB 18613 has referred to the international standard "Efficiency
Classes of Single-speed, Three-phase, Cage-induction Motors" (IEC 60034-30), to
enable the motor efficiency level of China meets the requirements of the international
standard; the rated power and number of poles of motors specified in GB 18613 are
kept consistent with those specified in IEC 60034-30; the efficiency values of Grade 3,
Grade 2 and Grade 1 energy efficiency specified in GB 18613 are kept consistent with
IE2, IE3 and the recommended table in Appendix A of IEC 60034-30 respectively.
NATIONAL STANDARD
OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
Minimum Allowable Values of Energy
Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for
Small and Medium Three-phase Asynchronous
Motors
1 Scope
This standard specifies the limited values of energy efficiency grade; allowable
values of energy efficiency; target allowable values of energy efficiency; evaluating
values of energy conservation; and test methods for small and medium three-phase
asynchronous motors (hereinafter referred to as. motors).
This standard is applicable to general-purpose motors or general-purpose
explosion-proof motors of single-speed enclosed self fan cooled; N design; and
continuous duty system with a voltage below 1000V; powered by a 50 Hz three-phase
AC supply; the rated power is within a range of 0.55kW~315kW; and the number of
poles is 2, 4 and 6.
2 Normative and Quoted References
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this
document. For dated references, only the dated versions apply to this standard. For
undated references, the latest edition of the normative document (including all the
amendments) is applicable to this standard.
4.4 Target minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for motors
Under the condition of rated power output, the target minimum allowable values
of the energy efficiency of motor shall not be less than Grade 2 specified in Tables 1.
The target minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for 7.5kW~375kW [motors]
in Table 1 shall come into force after 4 years since the day of implementation of this
standard; the target minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for below-7.5kW
[motors] shall come into force after 5 years since the day of implementation of this
standard, and shall substitute the requirements of Grade 3 in Table 1.
4.5 Evaluating values of energy conservation for motors
Under the condition of rated power output, the evaluating value of energy
conservation for motor shall not be less than Grade 2 specified in Tables 1.
5 Test Method
The motor efficiency shall be measured according to Method B – Loss Analysis of
Measuring Input and Output Power, specified in GB/T 1032.
