Foreword
This Standard replaces some indicators in GB 19645-2005 Hygienic Standard for
Pasteurized and Sterilized Milk, GB 5408.1-1999 Pasteurized Milk, and GB
5408.2-1999 Sterilized Milk; for GB 5408.1-1991 Pasteurized Milk, and GB
5408.2-1999 Sterilized Milk, the indicators involved in this Standard shall be subject to
this Standard.
Compared with GB 19645-2005, this Standard mainly has the following changes.
--- Hygienic Standard for Pasteurized and Sterilized Milk is divided into three
standards, namely, Pasteurized Milk, Sterilized Milk; and Modified Milk, and this
Standard is Modified Milk.
The historical edition replaced by this Standard is as follows.
--- GB 19645-2005.
National Food Safety Standard - Modified Milk
1 Scope
This Standard is applicable to the whole fat, skimmed, and partly skimmed modified
milk.
2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the
dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this
document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the
amendments) are applicable to this standard.
3 Terms and Definitions
3.1 Modified milk
Liquid product takes no less than 80% live cattle f (goat) milk or reconstituted milk as
the major raw materials, add other raw materials or food additives, then adopt proper
disinfection and sterilization processes to make.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 Requirements of raw materials
4.1.1 Raw milk. shall conform to the provisions of GB 19301.
4.1.2 Other raw materials. shall conform to the corresponding safety standard
and/or relevant provisions.
4.2 Sensory requirements. shall conform to the provisions in Table 1.
