Foreword
Chapter 4 of this Part is mandatory; the rest are recommended.
Depending on the different category of commercial refrigeration appliances, it
is planned to formulate the following four parts of standard.
- Part 1. refrigerated display cabinets with remote condensing unit;
- Part 2. Commercial refrigerated cabinets with self-contained condensing
unit;
- Part 3. refrigerated automatic vending machine;
- Part 4. drinking-water machine.
This is part 1 of GB 26920.
The refrigerated display cabinet’s energy efficiency standard of this Part is
established based on GB/T 21001 "refrigerated display cabinet" (ISO 23953.
2005, IDT) AND with reference to Australia AS 1731.14, United States Standard
1200, AND other refrigerated display cabinet standards.
The Appendix A and Appendix B of this Part are informative.
This part was proposed by the Resource Conservation and Environmental
Resource Protection Division of National Development and Reform
Commission.
This part shall be under the jurisdiction of the National Standardization
Technical Committee on Energy and Management.

1 Scope
This part of GB 26920 specifies the energy efficiency limit, energy efficiency
grade, energy conservation evaluation value, test method, AND inspection
rules of the refrigerated display cabinets with remote condensing unit
(abbreviated as remote refrigerated display cabinet).
This part applies to the remote refrigerated display cabinet which is used for
sale and food display.
This part does not apply to refrigeration vending machines or refrigerated
display cabinet.

through reference in this Part. For dated references, the subsequent
amendments (excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Part,
however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Part are encouraged
to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions which are established in GB/T 21001.1-2007 and
GB/T 21001.2-2007 AND listed below apply to this Part.
3.1
Energy consumption coefficient of remote refrigerated display
cabinets
unit of kilo-watthour per 24 hour square meter [kWh/(24h·m2)].
When the measured energy consumption coefficient value is less than or equal
to the evaluating value of energy conservation ECCevaluating value of energy conservation,
it is judged that the energy consumption of this batch of products complies with
the technical requirements of energy conservative product certification.
6 Test method and report format
It shall conduct test in accordance with GB/T 21001.1-2007, GB/T 21001.2-
2007 and relevant requirements of Chapter 4. The ECC test report format is
shown in Appendix B. The test for each equipment shall be with independent
test report.
7 Inspection rules
TAKE one sample from a batch of products to test its energy consumption
coefficient; if it fails to meet the specified requirements, TAKE two samples
again AND the measured values shall meet the requirements, otherwise this
batch of products is judged as unqualified.
For a single product, TEST its energy consumption coefficient; if it fails to meet
the requirements, it is judged as unqualified.
8 Energy efficiency grade mark
8.1 The manufacturer shall, in accordance with the requirements of this Part,
TEST the energy consumption coefficient of its products.
8.2 The manufacturer shall, in accordance with the test results, determine the
product's rated energy efficiency grade.

Energy consumption coefficient of remote refrigerated display
cabinets
unit of kilo-watthour per 24 hour square meter [kWh/(24h·m2)].
When the measured energy consumption coefficient value is less than or equal
to the evaluating value of energy conservation ECCevaluating value of energy conservation,
it is judged that the energy consumption of this batch of products complies with
the technical requirements of energy conservative product certification.
6 Test method and report format
It shall conduct test in accordance with GB/T 21001.1-2007, GB/T 21001.2-
2007 and relevant requirements of Chapter 4. The ECC test report format is
shown in Appendix B. The test for each equipment shall be with independent
test report.
7 Inspection rules
TAKE one sample from a batch of products to test its energy consumption
coefficient; if it fails to meet the specified requirements, TAKE two samples
again AND the measured values shall meet the requirements, otherwise this
batch of products is judged as unqualified.
For a single product, TEST its energy consumption coefficient; if it fails to meet
the requirements, it is judged as unqualified.
8 Energy efficiency grade mark
8.1 The manufacturer shall, in accordance with the requirements of this Part,
TEST the energy consumption coefficient of its products.
8.2 The manufacturer shall, in accordance with the test results, determine the
product's rated energy efficiency grade.
