1 Scope
This standard specifies the energy efficiency limit and energy efficiency rating for totally enclosed motor-compressors (hereinafter referred to as compressors) for air conditioners.
Test methods and inspection rules.
This standard applies to fully enclosed rotary compressors with room air conditioners with no more than 5000W input power under nominal conditions.
Scroll compressors. Compressors used only as accessories for room air conditioner repairs are not applicable to this standard. Other similar compressors may be used

Compressor energy efficiency limit minimumalowablevaluesofenergyefficiencyforcompressors
The minimum allowable value of the coefficient of performance (COP) of the compressor under specified operating conditions.
4 Energy efficiency rating
4.1 Compressors are classified by energy efficiency based on measured COP, divided into 1, 2, and 3 levels. Level 1 indicates the most energy efficiency.
