Foreword
”Organic Products” (GB/T 19630) is divided into four parts.
——Part 1. Production;
——Part 2. Processing;
——Part 3. Labeling and Marketing;
——Part 4. Management System.
This part is Part 2 of GB/T 19630.
This part was drafted according to the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces "Organic Products-Part 2. Processing" (GB/T 19630.2-2005).
Compared with GB/T 19630.2-2005, the main changes in this part are as follows.
——The scope is modified, the scope of products further and explicitly covers feed, the
requirement that the application scope of organic textile is restricted to cotton and
silk fiber reinforced polymers was deleted;
——"Hygienic Standard for Food Grade Salt" (GB 2721) and "Hygienic Specification
for Formula Feed Enterprises" (GB/T 16764) were added in the normative
references;
——Feed additives (see 3.3) were added in definitions and terms, and ion irradiation (see
of 2005 edition) is deleted;
——4.1 and 4.2 in 2005 edition were modified into 4.1 "General Rules", the following
contents were supplemented or made definite. 1) the "organic completeness" of the
processed products shall be kept further during from batching, processing and
preventing non-organic products from being confused; 2) organic feed processing
plant shall meet the requirements of GB/T 16764; 3) it shall cause no negative effect
on the environment or the negative effect shall be minimized.
——The requirements of feed processing were added for ingredients, additives and
processing aids (see 4.2.1.6);
——The requirements of parallel production were simplified for processing (see 4.2.2.2),
and the specific requirements of top processing were deleted (see 4.4.1 of 2005
edition);
——The application requirements of sanitizers were added for injurious organism
prevention and treatment (see 4.2.3.3);
——The requirements of archive record management in storage and transportation were
incorporated into GB/T 19630.4 (see 4.2.6 of GB/T 19630.4-2011 and 4.7.5 and
4.8.4 of 2005 edition);
——The requirement for the time of preparing and implementing environment
management improvement plan in textile processing [see 4.10.2 g) of 2005 edition]
is modified, "processing plant sanitation", "injurious organisms prevention and
treatment", "storage" "transportation", "packaging", and "ingredients, additives and
processing aids " in textiles were deleted [ see 4.10.21 of 2005 edition ];
——The substances in the list "allowable food additives, additives and other substances
in organic food processing" in Appendix A were arranged again, and Table A.1 "List
of Food Additives” and Table A.2 "List of Processing Aids" were respectively listed
(see Appendix A);
——Appendix B "Allowable Additives Used in Organic Feed Processing" (see Appendix
B) was added.
