3 Ordering Contents
The contract and ordering list that orders steel tube as per this Standard include the
following contents.
a) This Standard number;
b) Product name;
c) Steel grade;
d) Dimension specification (outer diameter × wall thickness, in mm);
e) Ordering quantity;
f) Special requirements.
The supplier can use eddy current test to replace the hydraulic test. The artificial
defects of the comparison sample tube in the eddy current test shall conform to the
provisions of acceptance level of E4H specified in GB/T 7735-2016.
5.7 Intergranular corrosion
The steel tube shall take intergranular corrosion test. After test, the specimen shall not
occur tendency of intergranular corrosion. For steel tube with outer diameter less than
16mm, take the whole tube section with the specimen length of 25mm, after finishing
the corrosion immersion specified in Method E of GB/T 4334-2008, take the provisions
of 5.5.1, evaluate the specimen after flattening it; for the steel tube with outer diameter
no less than 16mm, the intergranular corrosion test method shall conform to the
provisions of Method E in GB/T 4334-2008; the welded seam is in the middle of the
specimen. Through the negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, and
indicated in the contract, other intergranular corrosion test method can be adopted.
5.8 Grain size
The grain size for 07Cr19Ni10, 07Cr18Ni11Nb steel tubes shall be Level-4 and Level-
7.
5.9 Surface quality
5.9.1 The inner and outer surfaces of the steel tube shall be smooth and free of
cracks, folds, twists, undercuts, incomplete penetrations and indentations of the
welded seam. The above defects shall be removed completely; the actual wall
thickness at the removal site shall be no less than minimum allowable wall thickness;
and the removal site shall be smoothly transited. The surface of the steel tube shall
have local scratches, indentations and pits; but their depth shall not exceed 50% lower
deviation of the wall thickness; if exceeding, it is allowed to grind; the actual wall
thickness at the...
