Foreword
This Standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 5276-1985 “Fasteners - Bolts, screws, studs and nuts -
Symbols and descriptions of dimensions”.
Compared with GB/T 5276-1985, main changes of this standard are as follows.
- In addition to terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and
Russian), this Standard gives the equivalent terms in Chinese, German, Italian,
Japanese, Spanish and Swedish;
- ADD NOTE 2 in Clause 1;
- SPECIFY the symbol (see Clause 3);
- ADD parts of terms;
- ADD terms in Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Swedish;
- MODIFY parts of terms;
- MODIFY symbols of Chinese, English, French, Russian and German.
This Standard uses the re-drafting method to modify ISO 225.2010 “Fasteners - Bolts,
screws, studs and nuts - Symbols and descriptions of dimensions” (English version).
Compared with ISO 225. 2010, main changes of this standard are as follows.
- In the reference, use China’s national standards to replace International standards
(see Clause 2);
- ADD the numbers of Table 1 and Table 2 (see Table 1 in 3.15, Table 2 in 4.4);
- Terms in Chinese (Zh) is placed at the first line.
This Standard is proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Standard is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Fasteners
of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 85).

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the symbol, description and designation method for the
dimensions of bolts, screws, studs and nuts.
NOTE 1. The figures of the fasteners in this Standard are given only as examples.
NOTE 2. In addition to terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and
Russian), this Standard gives the equivalent terms in Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese,
Spanish and Swedish; these are published under the responsibility of the member bodies for
China (SAC), Germany (DIN), Italy (UNI), Japan (JISC), Spain (AENOR) and Sweden (SIS),
and are given for information only. Only the terms given in the official language can be
considered as ISO terms.
