Foreword
This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaced GB/T 7066-1997 Textiles – Tests for Colour Fastness – Colour
Fastness to Potting. Compared with GB/T 7066-1997, this Standard mainly has the
following changes.
--- Normative References quote GB/T 7568.1~7568.6, which replace the annulled
GB 7564~7568-1987; DELETE GB 11404-1989; ADD GB/T 6682, GB/T 13765,
FZ/T 01023 and FZ/T 01024; CHANGE GB/T 250, GB/T 251 and GB/T 6151
into the references without date.
--- CHANGE the scope from “wool and wool-containing textiles” to “wool and
textiles containing wool or other animal hair fiber”.
--- DIVIDE the original Chapter 4 “Equipment and Reagents” into Chapters 4 and 5;
ADD 4.7 and 4.8.
--- DELETE the allowable deviation ±2mm to the specimen dimension in Chapter 6
and 4.1, .
--- ADD Instrument rating contents in Chapters 7 and 8.
This Standard uses the redrafted method to modify ISO 105-E09.2010 Textiles – Tests
for Colour Fastness – Part. E09. Colour Fastness to Potting (English Version).
Compared with ISO 105-E09.2010, this Standard mainly has the following changes.
--- DELETE the foreword of the international standard;
--- In the Normative References, the international standards were replaced by
corresponding national or Industry standard; increase GB/T 13765; delete ISO
105-F07.
--- DELETE the monofilament adjacent fabric selection method in Table 1.
This Standard was proposed by China National Textile And Apparel Council.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Textile Standardization
Technical Committee Basic Standard Subcommittee (SAC/TC 209/SC 1).

1 Scope
This Standard specifies a method for determination the color fastness to potting of
various textiles. It is mainly applicable to wool and textiles containing wool or other
animal hair fibers.
