Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces JB/T 9542-1999, Specification for two-value capacitor
asynchronous motors. Compared with JB/T 9542-1999, the major technical changes
are as follows.
-- it adds the requirements for motors of frame size 112;
-- it adds the requirements for power level 3,700 W;
-- it adds the requirements for IP54 and IP55;
-- it adds insulation endurance class 155 (F) in 4.9;
-- it deletes the content of 4.12 ~ 4.16 of the former standard. The same as GB
12350, it adds in 4.20 that “the safety items nor covered in this Standard shall be
as specified in GB 12350”;
-- it deletes the content of 7.5 and 7.6 of the former standard and adds in 7.4 that
“the packaging, transportation and storage of motors shall be as specified in GB/T
5171.1”;
-- it deletes the requirements for warranty period in Clause 8 of the former standard.
This Standard was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee 26 on

General specification for two-value
capacitor asynchronous motors
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the types, basic parameters and dimensions, technical
requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and
transportation for two-value capacitor asynchronous motors.
This Standard applies to two-value capacitor asynchronous motors (frame size 71 ~
112) (hereinafter referred to as motors); for all kinds of motors derived from this series
of motors, this Standard can be referred to.

batch of motors of the same user and the same type) and certificates of soundness of
motors’ shaft extension flat keys shall be provided to users along with each motor.
4.18 The surface of motors shall be free from visible spots, wrinkles, bubbles, bruises
cracks or attached dirt.
4.19 Manufacturers shall guarantee that within one year of use, motors are capable of
operating normally in not exceeding two years’ time after the manufacturing date of
manufacturers, provided that users use and store motors correctly as specified in
instructions for use and maintenance of manufacturers. If damages occur because of
ill manufacturing within the time specified or motors are not able to operate normally,
manufacturers shall repair or replace parts and even motors free of charge.
4.20 The safety items nor covered in this Standard shall be as specified in GB 12350.
5 Test methods
5.1 Electrical property test of motors shall be carried out as specified in this Standard
and GB/T 9651.
5.2 Testing of vibration shall be carried out as specified in JB/T 10490.
5.3 Testing of noise shall be carried out as specified in GB/T 10069.1.
5.4 Testing of breaking-off rotational speed of centrifugal switches shall be carried out
as specified in GB/T 9651.
5.5 Test of enclosure protection degree shall be carried out as specified in GB/T 4942.1.
5.6 Inspection of safety requirements for motors shall be carried out as specified in GB
12350.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Exit-factory inspection
6.1.1 Each motor shall be delivered only when they pass the exit-factory inspection
and attached with a certificate of soundness.
6.1.2 The items of exit-factory inspection include.
a) mechanical inspection, including.
-- rotation inspection. during rotation, motors shall move smoothly and flexibly
without stagnation. The sound shall be uniform and harmonious without
6.2 Type inspection
6.2.1 Type inspection needs to be carried out in one of the following cases.
a) when the trial production of a new product is completed;
b) when any change in design and technology of motors which is sufficient to cause
any change in some properties, relevant type inspection items shall be carried
out;
c) when there is any unallowable deviation of current exit-factory inspection results
from previous type inspection results;
d) sampling for inspection at fixed period at least once every two years.
6.2.2 The items of type inspection include.
a) all items of exit-factory inspection;
b) determination of locked-rotor torques (determined in the cold state);
c) temperature rise test;
d) determination of efficiencies and power factors;
