The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved 438 industry
standards such as Types of Hybrid Electric Vehicles, including 6 automotive
industry standards, 58 light industry standards, 133 chemical industry
standards, 3 petrochemical industry standards, 49 black metallurgical industry
standards, 2 gold industry standards, 105 non-ferrous metals industry
standards, 6 RE industry standards, 68 building materials industry standards, 8
civil explosive industry standards; 28 industrial standard samples such as Metal
manganese (1), including 26 black metallurgical industry standard samples, 2
non-ferrous metal industry standard samples; 2 light industry standard
amendments such as Optics Resin Spectacles Lenses (QB 2506-2001). The
above 28 industry standard samples and 2 standard amendments are hereby
promulgated and shall come into force as of the date of promulgation.
The standards of the automobile industry are published by China Planning
Publishing House. The standards of the light industry are published by China
Light Industry Press. The standards of the chemical industry are published by
Chemical Publishing House. The standards of petrochemical industry are
published by Sinopec Press. The metallurgical industry standards are published
by Metallurgical Industry Press. The standards of gold, non-ferrous metals and
rare earth industry are published by the China Standard Publishing House. The
standards of building materials industry are published by the Building Materials
Industry Press. The standards of civil explosive industry are published by China
Ordnance Standardization.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the type and definition of hybrid electric vehicles (as
defined in GB/T 19596).
This standard applies to hybrid electric vehicles.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard
through reference in this Standard. For the dated references, the subsequent
amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard;
however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are
encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Total power
The sum of the motor peak power of hybrid electric vehicle1) and the rated
power of the engine.
4 Hybrid electric vehicle type
4.1 By powertrain structure type
4.1.1 Series hybrid electric vehicle
The hybrid electric vehicle the driving force of the vehicle driving system of
which is supplied by the motor and engine, simultaneously or separately.
1 In this standard, it refers to the peak power of the driving motor.
